Adelaide Kane is an Australian actor who played Cora Hale on MTV's Teen Wolf.

The character was an instant fan favorite because she is Derek Hale's little sister and it was thought that she and most all of Derek's family had died.

Kane is trained in the martial arts and plays guitar.

Early LifeEdit

Kane was born on 9 August 1990 in Claremont, a suburb in Perth. Her father is Scottish and her mother has Scottish, Irish, and French ancestry. She attended St Hilda's Anglican School for Girls.

When she started acting, she and her family moved to Melbourne, Victoria.


Kane got her career jump start in 2006 when she joined the cast of Neighbors as Lolly Allen after winning a competition in Dolly Magazine. She was given a three month contract to do the show. Her contract was not renewed. At the time of her departure the episodes had been shot but her character had yet to appear on-screen.

She was nominated for a Logie (Australian Emmy) in 2007 as "Most Popular New Talent".

Kane gained further recognition as Tenaya 7/15 from Power Rangers RPM (2009) which was filmed over a six-month period in Auckland, New Zealand.

She also starred in Pretty Tough, a 20-episode web series based on the novel by Liz Tigelaar.

Kane was featured in the 2013 thriller, The Purge.

She played Mary, Queen of Scots in CW's Reign from 2013 to 2017 and is set to appear in Once Upon a Time.
