How to Get Your Friends to Watch Teen Wolf

A visitor to our site asked me today how I got into Teen Wolf. Their reason was to find out what attracted me so that they could convince their reluctant friends to give the show a try.

I got into Teen Wolf for the very simple reason that I give anything supernatural/SciFi one episode.

I watch the first episode and if they grab me with something, anything really because there is so little quality genre stuff on TV, I'll come back.

Teen Wolf grabbed me with the writing and specifically the humor. It reminded me of Buffy the Vampire Slayer in the way it played supernatural threats against high school angst.

Again, I'll try anything in this realm once.

Teen Wolf Timeline

One of the most often asked questions here on Teen Wolf Wiki is "How long has Scott been a werewolf?" or, phrased another way, "How much time has passed since the show started?".

It's tricky for a number of reasons -

• There are few time-related milestones by which to judge
• Some episodes happen over days while others cover just a few hours of one day
• The year is stated as 2011 but it doesn't appear to be "our" 2011.
• The days of the week in our world don't match the dates stated in the show.
• The Full moons in Wolf Moon and  Lunatic - don't match up with the "real world".

Post Production Doings

Some of the Teen Wolf cast and crew gathered for a little party Friday Night at Bootsie Bellows in West Hollywood.

The club is owned in part by Actor David Arquette (SCREAM, Never Been Kissed) and is named after his mother. Bootsie Bellows was her stage name when she was a stripper.

The Teen Wolf Cast shot their final scene of the first half of Season 3 in the wee small hours of Thursday Morning.

Here’s an exclusive look at one of the final shots featuring Russell Mulcahy Directing a wolfed out Tyler Hoechlin along with the Carver Twins in what appears to be a partially destroyed loft.

Also on set for the final day were Gideon Emery, Felicia Terrell and Tyler Posey.

It’s been a long haul since production started back on December 3.

Since then, cast and crew have put in around 90 days on set and at various locations to complete the first 12 episodes.

With all that work behind them and several weeks break to look forward to – it’s no wonder many on the cast felt like kids getting out of school for summer.

Dylan O’Brien is in Baton Rouge gearing up for his role in Maze Runner. This apparently included some fight training with costar Will Poulter.

UPDATE: First Promo First Look
The first promo for Teen Wolf Season 3 aired Sunday during the MTV Movie Awards.

We've been showing you behind the scenes images from the promo shoot with the Teen Wolf Cast in Thousand Oaks California back in March but the promo shown Sunday seemed to use none of that footage.

Instead we saw Tyler Posey vs. Tyler Posey at the Acton Scuba Services facility in Acton, California.

The new video is ripe with rebirth imagery suggesting a new Scott McCall will emerge from Season 3.

Another reason to tune in Sunday (as if I hadn’t given you enough already) is to see Tyler Posey’s new commercial.

The first Teen Wolf Season 3 promo will air during the MTV Movie Awards on April 14.

We believe they were filming the commercials for the new season a month ago in a field near Thousand Oaks, California.

The inaugural Los Angeles Film and Entertainment Soccer Tournament hit the field over the weekend and Teen Wolf’s Isaac, Daniel Sharman, was on hand.

Sharman wore the hot pink uniform of The Hollywood Reporter Team alongside True Blood’s Stephen Moyer.

I've been disturbed lately to find that a lot of Teen Wolf watchers are leaving hurtful comments on various fan-fiction sites. Their reason behind the insults are that the fan-fictions warp Teen Wolf and ruin the show. First off, a fan-fiction doesn't change the show. They have absolutely no effect on the plot of the original show. Usually the stories are just the viewers own opinion on where the show can be going. And sometimes the writers actually draw inspiration from the support. What I think I might be trying to say is that while some of you just spam the pages with comments about what should happen to which characters, other fans use their amazing talents to express themselves. Why I’m NOT Reporting the Alicia Coppola Casting Thing

On Monday, I was informed by Teen Wolf Wikia User TeenWolfFan that someone claiming to be Alicia Coppola tweeted that she was playing Talia, Derek’s Mother, in Season 3.

I have tried to confirm this through Coppola’s management and have so far been unable to do so.

I realize that Hypable decided to run with the story without further confirmation.

Location, Location, Location

This weekend I uncovered a cache of never before published behind the scenes images from the Teen Wolf Production team.

It seems like a good time to do a quick review of some of the locations used during the filming of Season 3 so far.

This week we heard from actor Michael Fjordbak (Young Peter Hale) that Teen Wolf was still on location in Acton, California.

We know these were all inside a house in Encino, California but I've not found a stretch of road nearby that matches the Jeep shots.

UPDATE - Turns out the road shots were done in Woodley Park in Van Nuys, California. They returned to the same location in April for additional filming.

Crystal Reed: Strong and Sexy

Allison’s flirtation with the dark side in Season 2 landed actor Crystal Reed a spot on Hollywood Life’s “Strongest, Sexiest Women on TV” list.

Reed ranked at #15 just above Kerry Washington from ABC’s Scandal and just below Michelle Dockery from Downton Abbey.

Nina Dobrev from TVD topped the list while almost the entire female casts of Once Upon a Time, Pretty Little Liars and ABC's Nashville ranked in the Top 20.

Earlier in the week, I mentioned over at our Behind the Scenes page that MTV Social Media Maestro Matt McDonough was heading out to LA and that the result of his visit would probably be some behind the scenes gold.

Welcome to the Motel California

When the cast of Teen Wolf checks in to episode 6 of Season 3, Motel California, they’ll be checking in to a bit of Hollywood history.

Okay it’s more like “Hollywood Adjacent” history but don’t quibble.

The production spent a full night in February shooting episode 306 at The Motel Glen Capri on the border between Burbank and Glendale.
