Crystal Reed is an American actor who co-starred in MTV’s Teen Wolf as Allison Argent from 2011 to 2014.

Early Life

Crystal was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 6, 1985. She studied dance from an early age, performing in high school plays and musicals and studying in the Bachelor of Fine Arts program at Wayne State University.

She was a regular in Chicago based productions before moving to Los Angeles in 2008 to pursue film and television roles.

Career

Reed started her career appearances in the Lifetime Series Drop Dead Diva, 2 different versions of CSI on CBS, the MTV series, The Hard Times of RJ Berger, and the TNT police procedural Rizzoli & Isles.

She starred in the science fiction thriller Skyline with Eric Balfour and Donald Faison in 2010 and in the romantic comedy Crazy, Stupid, Love with Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling in 2011.

After wrapping the first season of Teen Wolf, Crystal completed work on another romantic comedy, Jewtopia, alongside Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie-Lynn Sigler. The film premiered in April 2012 at the Newport Beach Film Festival.

In 2012 she worked on two films, the crime drama Too Late and the high school thriller Crush.

Teen Wolf

She auditioned for the role of Allison along with future co-star Holland Roden ultimately winning the part.

Midway through Season 3, Reed approached Jeff Davis to allow to move on from the show to try other acting outlets. Her character was subsequently killed off which generated shock and grief from the fans.

She returned to the show in a single episode in Season 5 as a new character, Marie-Jeanne Valet, one of the Argent's ancestors in 18th century France.
