Ethan and Aiden first appeared in Season 3 of MTV's Teen Wolf
The characters are identical twin werewolves and had the ability to merge both their bodies into a single large creature. The mechanism for this transformation is never explained and was lost, along with their alpha status, when their merged form was "killed" by Jennifer Blake.
Aiden was later killed by an Oni. Ethan left town at the end of Season 3 but returned in the Season 6 episode Werewolves of London.
Ethan is played by Charlie Carver while his identical twin brother Max Carver plays Aiden.
Biography
Ethan says they were badly mistreated as members of a pack of brutal werewolves when Deucalion helped them develop their ability to merge together into a larger form. Once they'd mastered the ability, they killed the rest of their pack, became Alphas, and joined The Alpha Pack.
During Lunar Ellipse, their merged form was killed by the Darach. While they survived as individuals, their Alpha status was lost.
Ethan is homosexual and was dating Danny, while Aiden was, prior to his death, romantically involved with Lydia Martin.
Aiden died trying to help Scott McCall save Stiles Stilinski in The Divine Move.
After Ethan and Danny broke things off, the former left Beacon Hills, Some time later he met Jackson Whittemore in London and the two begin a relationship. They are both drawn back to Beacon Hills when Gerard Argent and Tamora Monroe build an army against the Supernatural and plan ultimate genocide. Despite being captured a tortured, the two are freed and aide Scott against the Anuk-Ite. After the spirit is trapped once more and Hunters are in retreat, they return to London, and, as of 2026 (IU), Ethan and Jackson are still together.
- EDITOR'S NOTE: Because it is an FAQ, in The Girl Who Knew Too Much, Ethan says he and his brother were "the omegas" of their pack. This is not to say they were "Omegas" just that they were abused and mistreated. It is an insult, nothing more. By the time we catch up with them in Galvanize, the brothers are actually Omegas due to their "death" and the disbanding of the Alpha Pack.
Season 3
The twins attempt to capture Isaac Lahey and a mysterious girl (Braeden). On foot they are able to chase down and almost catch the motorcycle on which Isaac and the girl try to escape with. After the bike wrecks, they merge into one giant alpha and begin to charge Isaac and the girl. An electrical bolt fired from a "modified tazer" causes them to split back into two separate individuals. Later, they appear at Beacon Hills High School and attack the mysterious girl again, along with the rest of their pack. (Read More...)

Ethan reveals the Twins' backstory to Scott and Stiles: they were the Omegas of a pack, always the last to eat and the first to be abused, until Deucalion found them. He showed them how to control their power of merging together, allowing them to eliminate their whole pack and becoming Alphas by killing their own.
