J.D. Taylor is an American film and television director who worked on MTV's Teen Wolf from 2011-2017.

Career[]

James D. Taylor began his career while working on the film Mutant Species in 1994. This led to assistant positions in films productions like Drumline, Stomp the Yard 2: Homecoming, Scream 2, How I Spent My Summer Vacation, Outbreak, Hall Pass, and Petunia for which he was also an associate producer.

He worked as an assistant director for shows like The Game, Complications, Stranger Things, Valor, Doom Patrol, The Walking Dead, and Wolf Pack.

Teen Wolf[]

Since Season 1, Taylor served as first assistant and second unit director for throughout most of the series. The last episode he contributed to was Ghosted in Season 6.

Taylor also directed the episodes Monstrous and Superposition.

He, like much of the cast and crew, returned to help make the Paramount+ original movie Teen Wolf: The Movie as first assistant director.
