It wasn't until 3 hours after the last award was handed out that Teen Wolf Creator and Executive Producer Jeff Davis learned that his show had won the Teen Choice Award for Choice Summer TV Show.

The MTV hit ranks with CW's "Vampire Diaries" (Choice SciFi/Fantasy TV Show) and ABC/Disney's "Pretty Little Liars" (Choice TV Show Drama) as the top draws for the youth audience.

Teen Wolf faced stiff competition from NBC's summer powerhouse AGT and Fox's perennial hit SYTYCD.

Winning this contest also stands as proof that the show's sponsors are getting their money's worth. The voters for the TCAs represent younger demographics so highly prized by advertisers.
