Teen Wolf News 062214
Ever since cameras started rolling on the new season – Teen Wolf Wiki has been digging up exclusive "Behind the Scenes" content from the production.
As we head into Monday’s debut – here are a few things to look for in Season 4.
1. Road Trip
While the bus ride to Motel California in Season 3(a) took us out of Beacon County for the first time, Season 4 will see the gang leave the United States altogether as they venture south to Mexico.
Teen Wolf “Mexico” is actually the Blue Cloud Movie Ranch in Santa Clarita, California.
This “village” is best known as a double for Iraq and Afghanistan in shows like JAG and movies like Iron Man.
2. Dance Fighting
The Road Trip south of the border also includes a trip to a Mexican Nightclub where Arden Cho got to show off her ability to dance and fight at the same time.
Teen Wolf loves disco dance fighting.
Just like in Season 2, where we had “Kanima Night at Jungle” and the “Secret Warehouse Murder Rave,” Season 4 will feature two dance party episodes.
The first was filmed for Episode 401 at the Premiere Supper Club on Las Palmas in LA. The brick work and other trappings at Premiere create the perfect Mexican mélange.
The second dance comes late in the season and is an outdoor affair with a DJ, a big crowd, and lots of lasers. They filmed this one at Teen Wolf HQ in Northridge.
3. Decapitations
From what we’ve seen in our BTS travels – a few folks will lose their heads in Season 4.
Rather than beheading one of the stand-ins, they used this poor abused torso whenever they needed to set up a shot featuring the headless.
Teen Wolf baddies gotta have their “thing” I guess. In Season 3(a) it was the Darach and her Threefold Death this time it appears to be a tomahawk truncation which would certainly explain all the blood we’ve seen on set during filming.
4. Freshmen
Usually when we see a new face on Teen Wolf – it means they marked for death.
RIP Heather and Kyle and Paige and Deputy Tara and pretty much the entire 2006 Beacon Hills Swim Team.
This season it appears some new faces will be sticking around - for a while at least.
Teen Wolf’s “Tres Nuevos Amigos” (Dylan Sprayberry, Khylin Rambo, and Mason Dye) were on set through most of the shooting schedule suggesting they’ll feature prominently in Season 4.
5. Lacrosse
After what seems like more than a year (because it's been waaay more than a year), Teen Wolf is bringing back lacrosse in Season 4.
Two of the three new guys are on the Lacrosse team and one of the episodes in the middle of the season will take place during the game between Beacon Hills and the team from Devenford.
This marks the first time we’ve seen the sport since the production moved from Atlanta to Los Angeles. They chose the Cricket Fields at Woodley Park in Van Nuys to serve as the Beacon Hills High School field.
Kira also joins the team this season.
Somebody needs to check the rulebook and see what it says about having three supernaturals on one team – that’s gotta be a violation!
Teen Wolf will be on your TV every Monday night at 10 from now till September.
